The story begins with a poor young man named Aladdin who lives in a Chinese city. One day, a sorcerer approaches Aladdin and tricks him into entering a dangerous cave to retrieve a magic lamp.

Aladdin becomes trapped in the cave until he rubs the lamp and releases a genie, who grants him three wishes. Aladdin uses his wishes to become wealthy and to win the heart of the beautiful Princess Jasmine.
